The "Storch" is able to fly again!

A dream came true on 06.05.08 for everybody involved in the project at LTB Dirk Bende when the Fieseler Storch flew for the first time at Bonn Hangelar.

This aircraft is the result of one of the most comprehensive Storch restoration projects ever undertaken. It has flown a total of 30 hours since rebuild and has performed faultlessly.

    The instrument panel is simular to the original standard and is fully equipped with original parts out of the 40ties, which are also completly overhauled.

We are also pleased to have contributed to the recently flown Storch in the UK. We were on hand throughout the test flight programme at Old Warden to ensure that the engine, rebuilt in our workshops, performed satisfactorily and were able to make the necessary post flight inspections and adjustments. Various systems and equipment on the aircraft were additionaly overhauled by ourselves also. We also assisted in the sourcing and supply of rare airframe parts and provided general technical support.
